Kicked off and ready to go!

We had such a wonderful turn out to our "Kick Off" day in Hanceville! Thanks to all who came, volunteered their time, or helped work the concessions while we were off learning our objective! We couldn't have done it without you!

This week is our first week of official practice. The first two weeks are for all students who wish to make the Build Team. Practices will be held after school while an optional build session will be held for ALL team members who want to get extra hands on experience by building the playing field with Dr. Gauntt. As previously stated, morning sessions are OPTIONAL!

If you are on BEST Team, I would like for us to start preparing next week. I will be sure to send an e-mail with times!

Thanks to all who have donated supplies this week that will be used to construct the playing field, and thanks to all who have already signed up for concessions/parking. If you haven't, it's a lot of fun, and we could definitely use the help!

Welcome!

Welcome to our Team Robot blog! We will be using this blog to update you on our progress as well as any updates.

Team Robot forms were due yesterday so if you have yet to turn in your paperwork, be sure to do so ASAP.

Sign ups have also begun for volunteers at HMS football games. If your family has not signed up, please be sure to send me an e-mail (emeacham@homewood.k12.al.us) and we'll get it arranged. Please remember that helping in the concession stand is part of the reason that we are able to have Team Robot! We can use all the help we can get!

Lastly, if you are new to Team Robot and are interested in trying out for Build Team, you must attend one of the "Tools Training" sessions this week. We will hold another Tools Training on Wednesday, August 31, and Thursday, September 1.
